We have been working on a prayer garden for about a year now. We have finally gotten it cleared enough for the labyrinth.

I wanted to name it, and I had many great suggestions from friends. This morning, I was listening to a new song by Mitch McVicker called “Sit At My Table”.

It was perfect. Now the garden is named “The Table”.

Why? Because all are welcome. It’s a place of peace and meditation, of contemplation and prayer.

Of communion with Jesus.

It only seemed natural to name the blog after the garden – and change Porch Time to Lessons From the Table.

So hang with me. I’ve got a lot of notes from Holy Week and Easter.
