We held our first Spiritual Formation Retreat this past weekend, and we had an amazing time!

We started out on Saturday morning with an amazing brunch prepared by Leslie Carter of Elevated Events and Retreats. Once everyone got full and settled, we discussed how we are formed by our surroundings and how that translates into our personal lives. In the afternoon, we studied the Spiritual Disciplines and how we can have a deeper relationship with Jesus. We finished the day with an art exercise led by Rev. Amy Hall of Shalom Creatives, and enjoyed a wonderful taco bar for dinner!

On Sunday, we started our day with pancakes and bacon, and then had lessons on Climbing The Ladder of the Beatitudes. Attendees were able to spend some time enjoying the grounds at Lovingston Winery.

We finished the contemplative part of the day with another art prompt with Amy.

That evening, we were blessed with an acoustic concert by Dove award winning singer/songwriter Mitch McVicker.

Plans are already in the works for a fall retreat! Stay tuned!
